Considering Adoption to Build Your Family

Amy Hickman and Michelle Hausmann are committed to providing caring professional legal services to their clients. All adoption cases receive their personal attention during every stage of the adoption process.

Each birth mother is interviewed by either Michelle or Amy who personally follows the case from a match with an adoptive family through a meeting between the birth and adoptive family, the birth of child, execution of the adoption consents, termination of parental rights and finalization of the adoption. Amy and Michelle are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to provide immediate attention during the sensitive stages of your adoption.

Hausmann & Hickman, P.A. acts as an adoption entity within the State of Florida to place children for adoption with Florida families and families located in other qualifying states. We begin our adoption process with an application and consultation procedure. You will meet with either Michelle or Amy and discuss your individual adoption goals and learn the specifics of Florida law. Upon submission and acceptance of your application, you will participate in our extensive birth mother outreach program.

Each adoption is individually tailored to meet the requests of both the adoptive family and birth family. During the initial consultation, we discuss your goals concerning the desired nature of your adoption and the history of your child to be adopted. Hausmann & Hickman makes each match with your individual needs and desires in mind. Adoptive parents are provided with written background disclosure on the child and birth family. All birth mothers are screened for drugs and H.I.V. and prenatal and hospital records are provided to the adoptive family.
